Member Login Credentials
A valuable STI/SPFA Member Benefit is access to technical and industry-specific information related to your Membership Section and Licensed Technologies. When your company joins STI/SPFA, you will receive a form to establish website login credentials. These credentials make it possible for you to access information available only to STI/SPFA Members with a username and password of your choice. 

If you forget your member login credentials or wish to request that you or another Company Contact be added as a website user for your Member company, please contact us at info@steeltank.com or call STI/SPFA, 847/438-8265, ext. 238. An STI/SPFA staff member will forward the appropriate form for completion and return. Your member login credentials will be recorded and a confirmation email sent to you for your reference and files.

Members Drop-Down Menu
After you login to the site, the MEMBERS menu option will be added in the second position from the left, next to HOME on the blue menu bar.  Information in this drop down menu is available only to Members who are logged in.

STI/SPFA - The Power of Association

STI/SPFA brings to its members the benefits of association with two internationally respected organizations in the steel fabrication industry – the Steel Tank Institute (1916) and the Steel Plate Fabricators Association (1933).

Since merging as STI/SPFA in February 2004, the association has continued to provide a wide range of services to industry-leading suppliers and fabricators of steel tanks, pressure vessels, specialty products and piping for the petroleum, chemical, food and water storage industries. 

  • Manufacturers of shop fabricated atmospheric tanks, field erected water tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and specialty fabricated products that serve the water, food, petroleum and chemical markets are members of STI/SPFA. Suppliers of products and services that support the member fabricators are also welcomed as members. Our web portal devotes areas to each of our Industries. 

    Please explore and review our industry sections, education and events areas. Through cooperative actions within its Membership Sections, STI/SPFA and its Members promote the benefits of steel as the material of choice for all of these applications by:
     
  • Creating new technologies through research & development activities. 

  • Promoting the strengths and benefits of steel through educational outreach programs, certification programs for manufacturers, installers and testers and through the distribution of press releases to industry publications.
     
  • Advocating with OSHA, the EPA, and code and regulatory authorities in each market to ensure the continued ability of the manufacturers to produce steel products, and to protect the health and safety of employees and the environment.

  • Providing educational opportunities, networking and professional recognition to companies achieving outstanding performance in the areas of safety, quality, sales and service to the industry
