EuroNavy ES301 Coating can be applied to smooth, damp steel and will cure under cold, moist conditions.
This coating was applied to the topside of the world's largest semi-submersible oil production drilling quarters that operates under extreme conditions in the Gulf of Mexico. The platform pumps oil and gas from a reservoir located three miles beneath mud, rock and salt water. Without the coating application, the damage sustained during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 would have required that the steel plate platform be replaced. Now its service life is expected to exceed ten years.
